To all -

like last year, due to the many rainouts over the last few weeks, the deadline for all regular season games to be played for seeding has been extended to Wednesday, June 29th, scores and pitchers reported by 11:59 pm that night. The first round will be played on or between Thursday June 30th and Sunday July 3rd, seed 11 @ seed 10, seed 9 @ seed 8 and seed 7 at seed 6, winners moving on to Round 2 the following week. Seeds 1 thru 5 have a bye in Round 1. Round 2 will be played between Tuesday July 5th and Thursday July 7th. See 2011 Pony League Tournament Bracket. All scores must be reported to the commissioner Greg Gould by Wednesday, June 29th, 11 pm (rockcreekball@aol.com) or to Tri-County Facebook page. Also, double check your scores and standings for the year to make sure all scores have been entered and all are correct. Any forfeits need to be agreed upon by both teams and will be recorded as a 7-0 score.  If the game cannot be made up and the two coaches cannot agree then it can be determined by the TriCounty board if the circumstances warrant a forfeiture. Typically, the team who cancels is the team who forfeits. Every attempt to make up the game needs to be made before asking for a forfeit.

Tournament starts Thursday, June 30th at the top seeds home field. The final four play games will be at Klatt Memorial Field in Plano on Friday, July 8th at 5:30 pm and 8 pm.  Saturday, July 9th is the 3rd place game @ 10:00 am and 1st place game @ 12:30 pm also in Plano.  The tournament bracket will be online . Home teams need to let opponents, Cindy (martyol@comcast.net for Umpires) and Greg or Dave (for website) know what nights you will have your games as soon as you know.

There will be 2 all star games and 2 skills and drills hosted by Leland and Sandwich on Sunday, July 10th.

West All-Star Game at Leland

We would like to begin the skill and drills portion at 1:00pm. There will be a Home run derby, Fastest Pitch and a Fielding Drill. We ask that the allstars begin arriving at 12:00 so they can sign in for their event which will be located at the north window of the concession stand. Cutoff for registration will be at 12:50 so that the events can begin on time, I would assume then that the game should begin around 3:00-3:30.

East All-Star Game at Sandwich

Skills and Drills will start at 2 pm, we will have a homerun derby ,a roadrunner home to home  and the fastest pitch followed by the all star game (around 4-4:30 pm). We will have the concessions open  all day.

Except for the 1 seed and the team with them, all teams will select 4 players to represent their team at the all star game. The 1 seed and who they are paired up with will be able to select 6 players, or a combination thereof to make 12. Please have each player expect the all star festivities to be around 4 to 5 hours which includes the all star game and the skills and drills. Plano 1 and 2 will play together and Sandwich 1 and 2 will play together on the same All Star Teams, otherwise the teams will be divided by geography then as evenly as possible by seed order.

Good luck to all in your final games and tournament, and I hope to see you in Plano on July 8h & 9th.

Best Regards -
