Somonauk #1 defeated Earlville by a score of 17-9. This was a well played game by both teams! Somonauk pitched our two 8 year olds and they did well! Drew Westbrook threw the first 3 innings and then Steven Kenyon pitched the last 3 innings! Way to go boys! Almost everyone got a hit tonight - great job!! Thanks to Isaac Such for helping us (a C-leaguer) as we were short some players!

Somonauk #1 defeated Serena by a score of 14-3 in 5 innings on Thursday, July 9, 2009. Somonauk pitchers were: Ben Svoboda 3 innings and Ryan Lumsden 2 innings.  Ryan threw 9 pitches in the 4th inning (all strikes) and then only 5 pitches in the 5th inning! Great job Ryan!! Another great team win - everyone helping to get a victory tonight!

Friday July 10, 2009

Somonauk #1 defeated Harding by a score of 7-1 Friday night to win the end of the season tournament. Harding played well and made several very good defensive plays throughout the game. Our kids played their best game of the season and Ryan Lumsden pitched a phenomenal 6 inning game - struck out 11, walked 3 and there were only 3 hits (all singles!) Way to go Somonauk! Had a great season 17-1: won the pre-season tourney by going 3-0, went 11-1 in the regular season (only loss to Harding - a great team) and then ended the season with a hard fought win tonight!
