Westmont 2, Plano 0 (8 inn)

At Plano, the Lady Reapers dropped a nonconference contest to Westmont in eight innings.

Courtney Weeks and Missy Haws had the only Plano (2-3-1) hits. In the circle, Haley Secor scattered seven hits and struck out, and suffered the loss for the Lady Reapers.

Indian Creek 7, Earlville/Leland 6

At Earlville, the Lady Timberwolves pulled out a one-run Little Ten Conference victory over the Lady Raiders.

IndianCreek was in control for most of the contest leading 6-1, until E/L put up five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to tie the game. But the Lady T-wolves pushed a run across in the top of the sevnth and held the Lady Raiders scoreless in the bottom of the frame.

Jenna Holm (two runs) and Caitlan Lave (two RBI) both three hits each for IC. Rickie Coleman (three runs) and Kimber Knudsen (four RBI) both added two apiece. Mel Sebastiano recorded the win in the circle.

No individual stats for E/L were reported.

Newark 10, Oswego East 4

At Oswego, the Lady Norsemen picked up a nonconference victory over Oswego East.

Oswego East built a 6-0 advantage, before Newark scored five runs in the top of the fifth inning to cut its deficit to one run, but Oswego East responded with three runs in the bottom of the frame and an additional run in the seventh inning.

"We hit the ball really well tonight," Lady Norsemen coach Paul Waitkoss said. Our 2-3-4 hitters were on base all day. We are just happy to be playing. We've been rained out five times, and we play every night this week and twice on Saturday."

Kristin Pribyl went 4-for-4 with three runs scored to lead the Newark offense. Lindsay Cihak (three RBI, three runs) and Laura Whitfield (five RBI) both had three hits each. Emily Holman (two runs), Katie Hauge, Krista Skelton and Rachel Monkemeyer all added two hits apiece.

Serena 6, LaMoille 3

At LaMoille, the Lady Huskers rallied to score four runs in the top of the seventh inning to pull out a come-from-behind LTC victory.

Emily Zemanek led the Serena (3-2, 3-0) offense with two hits. Sarah Enger struck out three and walked none to notch the victory in the circle.

"We were able to execute some bunts and capitalize on some passed balls," Lady Huskers coach Kelly Baker said. "So we had some good baserunning."
