Ryan Van Volkenburg was 3-for-4 with a double and Ty Howell went 3-for-4 with
2 RBIs for Lisle (22-4, 8-0). Sebastian Drozdz was 2-for-2 with an RBI and
Ryan Schlichter went 2-for-4 with a run for Westmont (3-15).
Herscher
7, Wilmington 1
Matt Webber (5-1) gave up 6 hits and struck out 6 in 6 2/3 innings and also
hit a solo homer for Herscher (21-4, 7-1 Interstate Eight).
Coal
City 7, Plano 0
Brandon Wills allowed 4 hits and 2 walks, while striking out 6 to get the
win for Coal City (12-10).

Reed Custer 1, Manteno 6
Reardanz
hits and pitches Manteno to 6-1 victory
Mark Reardanz carried Manteno to a 6-1 victory on the road over Reed Custer
on Tuesday with a strong game at the plate and on the mound.
Reardanz put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for Manteno
(22-2, 6-2). He doubled in the fifth and seventh innings.
Reardanz (6-1) picked up the win. Reed Custer managed just 4 hits off of Reardanz,
who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one during his 4 2/3
innings of work.
Reardanz, 1B Derrick Hosselton and 3B Billy Liss combined for 5 hits and 4
RBIs. Reardanz and Hosselton each went 2-for-4 at the plate.
Manteno jumped out to a 4 run lead in the third inning on 2 doubles from CF
J.J. Witherow and 1B Derrick Hosselton. A Reardanz groundout scored Witherow,
and an RBI single by Liss added one more.
Manteno matched its one-run fifth inning with one more in the seventh. In
the fifth, Manteno scored on an RBI single by OF Jason Morgan, bringing home
Reardanz. In the seventh inning, it was Hosselton's double that scored Reardanz.
The win puts the Panthers in second place in the Interstate 8 South division.
They face off again against Reed-Custer on Tuesday at home.
Lisle 12, Peotone 3
The
Dwight Trojan baseball team used a 3 run 6th and 3 run 7th inning to defeat
the Peotone Blue Devils 6-3 for an I-8 conference road victory. The Trojans
overall record is 10-10 and 2-7 in the I-8. Jake Wardell doubled in the
go ahead runs in the 6th inning to make the score 3-1. In the seventh inning
the Trojans stacked 4 hits (3 doubles) together including a 2 rbi double
by Ben Trainor to give some cushion for pitcher Alec Frazier in the seventh.
Frazier (4-2) was awesome on the mound going 7 innings, striking out 16,
walking 2, and giving up only 5 hits and 1 earned run on the day. Frazier
also helped his own cause with an rbi double in the 7th inning.
