The Dwight Trojans defeated
the Herscher Tigers in great battle of pitching. Matt Webber and Alec Frazier
dueled into the 7th inning giving up a total of 5 hits and 0 runs. Webber
threw 6 and 1/3 innings striking out 9 and walking no batters. Weber's only
run came in the top of the 7th inning. The Trojans received a lead off single
by Ryan Kodat . Alec Frazier sacrifice bunted him to 2nd and then Kodat
advanced to third on a passed ball. Ben Trainor delivered the winning 1out
double into the left center field gap scoring Kodat and giving Dwight a
1-0 lead. Jordan Ruckman came in and struck out the final 2 batters of the
7th inning. Alec Frazier was outstanding on the mound winning his 5 game
of the year beside 2 losses. Alec did not give up a run, had 10 strike outs,
2 walks and gave up only 2 hits on the night.
