Record 8-8 4-2 . Defeated Sandwich last 13-2 but lost today 4-1. I was
dissapointed at our approach at the plate . We got down in the count to
much. We never did get the leadoff hitter on in 7 innings today. Sophomore
pitcher Jared Skubic did a good job pitching today. Hosting Illiana

Manteno's Adam Schaeffer went 4-4 on the day. Jack Liss
took the loss on the mound.
Peotone 2, Reed-Custer 1
Comets Drop Heartbreaker To Peotone

The
Reed-Custer Comets came up on the short end of a pitching duel in a 2-1 loss
to Peotone.
Comet lefty, Josh Bull, held Peotone scoreless on only 1 hit through the first
5 innings. However, the Devils ripped out 3 hits and pushed across 2 runs
in the bottom of the sixth to take the victory.
Reed-Custer loaded the bases with 2 outs in the seventh, but the Comets were
unable to push across the tying run.
Bull (4-1) finished with a 4 hitter, striking out 2 and walking 3.
Sophomore, Kale Maupin held the Comets to 1 earned run on 3 hits. He struck
out 3 and walked 5.
Travis Schoonover had an RBI double for the Comets.
Andrew Andersen, Andrew Kovar and Joey Janutis had doubles for Peotone.
Reed-Custer falls to 12-7 overall and 3-2 in the I-8.
NON-CONFERENCE GAME'S
Newark 0, Plano 2
Brett Johnson had a double for Plano, there was only 6 hits combined for both teams and no RBI’s. It was a pitchers Dual between Plano’s Freshman Pitcher Carlos Martinez and Newark’s Sophomore Pitcher Ty Mulligan. Carlos gave up only 2 hits and one walk in his complete game victory. His first varsity win.
