Luke Romano hit a 2 run home run, and Evan Volintine hit a solo homerun for Plano

Westmont defeated Plano by the score of 8-4 on Tuesday.
Westmont improves to 15-3-1 overall and 6-2 in the Interstate Eight Conference
Westmont is back in action tomorrow in Winnetka (North Shore Country Day)
Zach Moran improved to 4-0 on the mound and also had a big day at the plate with 2-3 with 2 Runs, 1 BB, 1 SB, and a 2 Run Home Run in the top of the 1st. Westmont scored 4 in the top of the 1st. Another 2 Run Shot by Tommy Franczak put Westmont up 4-0 in the top of first. Westmont then added 1 in the 2nd, 1 in the 4th, and 1 in the 6th to win 8-4.

Comet Offense In High Gear At Dwight

The Reed-Custer Comets got its offense in bunches in a 16-3, five inning victory at Dwight. The Comets scored 6 runs in the top of the first, 4 runs in the fourth and 6 more runs in the top of the fifth. R-C smashed out 16 hits in the I-8 contest.

Jordan Walden had 3 hits in 4 trips to the plate to lead the attack. Walden also scored 3 times. Mason Dransfeldt had 2 hits, including a double and 4 RBI. Zach Zoltani also contributed 4 RBI. Jon Costain had 2 hits, including his first Varsity home run. Josh Bull, Jordan Colwell and Eddie Wilkins also had 2 hits.

Wilkins ran his pitching record to 3-1. The big righthander allowed 6 hits, 1 earned run, while striking out 7 and walking 2.

The Comets are 15-7 on the season and 6-2 in the Interstate Eight Conference.
