ARTICLE X- All-Star Game

Section I . Site shall rotate between
1. Sheridan (2000)    8. Hinckley- Big Rock (2003)
2. Earlville (2001)   9. Sugar Grove (2004)
3. Waterman (2007)   10. Elburn (2004)
4. Plano (2008)*     11. Shabbona (2004)
5. Newark ( 2006 )   12. Yorkville (2006)
6. Sandwich (2003)   13. Serena (2008)*
7. Somonauk (2003)   14. Leland (2007)*

 *Projected host for that year

Section II . In the event a team is unable to host a game, the site shall be moved

             to the next town, with the rotation order remaining the same.

Section III . Any new towns joining the league:
                A . Shall host an All -Star game after Shabbona, or would be placed in

                    the last position, which is (15th) position. If the team joins the

                    year Shabbona is to host the game, that team shall host following

                    Shabbona, and be last in the order.

Section IV . The game shall be held on the Fourth of July, or a date selected at 

             the first meeting.
                A . If weather causes a postponement of the game, it shall be rescheduled

                    on the first Sunday following the Fourth of July.
                      1 . If the 4th of July falls on a Sunday, game shall be played on the

                          following Sunday.
                B . In the Year 2007 Sunday July 8, 2007
                      1. All-Star game is @ 2:00 PM / (Waterman's game is 4:00pm )
                C . Each team will select 3 players from there team to represent them at

                    the All-Star Game These players’ names must be turned into the League

                    Office by June 30th.Divisions subject to change.

     (18) players per team.
Section VI . The host town will be responsible for providing:

  B . Field in proper condition.

Highlights

It was a neck and neck game for the first 4 innings, then Leland pulled ahead in the 6th and 7th innings scoring 2 and 4 and holding Sandwich to no runs in the last 3 innings. Nice job pitching from Andrew and Truman. Jacob Theurer had 3 hits of 4 times at bat and Darren Riskedal contributed with some amazing hits including a triple into deep right field. Zack Fillepello hit a homerun and was also strong leading the hits with 4 of 4. Special recognition to Tyler and Cory for their plays from 3rd to 1st.Keep up the good work guys! It was a great game to watch.

Highlights
Andrew Abens gave up a run in the first and was off to a rusty start walking 4 of 7 batters in the first, but he came back strong in the second with a 1,2,3 inning. Truman Lindhout came in to relieve Andrew in the fourth and carried us through to the end. But we couldn't have done it without some fine hits from Cory (Triple) and Nate with a deep left field hit into the trees Homerun!!! The game ended in the top of the 7th with Truman striking out 3 of 4 batters ending the game with a score of 10-2.

playoffs Sandwich #2. Leading hitters for Hinckley included Andy 
(3-3, 3 runs, 3 rbi, 2 - 2b), Kyle (2-3, 2 - 2b, 2 rbi), Hans (2-3,

Highlights: The Plano #1 bats came out smoking as they jumped all 
over Hinckley with a 5 run 1st inning. After adding one more run in 
the 4th, Hinckley trailed 6-0 entering the bottom of the 5th. 
Hinckley put a 6 spot up on the board to tie the game up with the big 
hit a 3 run bases loaded triple by Mitch. However, a unearned run 
in the top of the 6th allowed Plano #1 to come away with a hard 
fought win. Great game for my kids to come back from 6-0, and a 
great game by Plano #1. A lot of defense on both sides kept the game 
close. Good luck on the rest of your season and playoffs Plano #1.

Highlights
It was a rocky start for Leland in the first inning giving up 4 runs leaving the fans to wonder if they would be able to pull out a win, but Lelands strong defense prevailed in the end holding IC to no runs scored in the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th innings while Leland scored 4 runs in the 3rd and 3 in the 6th. Strong at bats were Truman Lindhout with a double and triple, and credits to Andrew Abens who hit deep fly balls into center caught by IC's skilled outfield, but earned runs. Tyler Frieders defense was swift, and Garrett Theurer kept the game tight behind the plate. Kudos to Cory Buhler for his skilled base running. Good Luck to Indian Creek for the remainder of their season.

A real good game to watch. Sandwich #1 jumped out to a 2 - 0 lead 
after the 1st half of inning, only for Hinckley to come back and 
score two in the bottom of the 1st to tie it up. Sandwich #1 scored 
1 in the top of the second, but Hinckley came back and scored one in 
the bottom of the 2nd to tie it back up. Hinckley then put a 3 spot 
up on the board in the bottom of the 3rd, and hung on as Sandwich #1 
scored one in the top of the 6th for the final score of 6-4. Hitting 
highlights for Hinckley: Mitch (3-3, 3b, 3 RBI) and Andy (2-3, 2

Highlights
Great game played both teams. Neither team knew how it would end. Both teams bats were not hot and when the boys got on base neither team got a break. This has been the best finish for our boys this year. At the bottom of the seventh score 3-2 with Swanson getting a walk to first and Grenimeier getting a single base there was hope until Plano put in Ivan (what a pitcher ) we knew are bats were not going to make contact with his pitching so running our 2 boys did. Luckily the catcher missed and sent Swanson to 3rd and Jake G to 2nd. Another pitcher and miss by catcher sent Swanson home to make to tying run and put Jake G on 3rd,another miss and sent Jake G home to win this game.. Great running boys.

Highlights
It was a pitchers game with Leland's Andrew Abens going head to head with Waterman's J. Lazzaratto in the first 3 innings with no score. Both pitchers pitching a tough game with 1, 2, 3 innings until Waterman scored a run on errors in the 4th. Leland came out strong in the 5th with Tyler Frieders starting us off with a hit into deep center. Andrew Abens RBI brought the score to 1-1 then Miguel Ocon hit a grounder into right field putting a scoring run on first that Jacob Theurer drove in pulling Leland into the lead. Nate Brown scored in the 6th and Andrew Abens in the 7th ending the game with a score of 4-2. Nice pitching game by Waterman. Leland had some outstanding defense, recognizing Tyler Frieders and Miguel Ocon.

This is in reponse from Leland's e-mail. The game against @ Plano #3 was tied 7
to 7 after 7 innings. There was a game scheduled after our game so it was
decided that there was not time to play another inning, both coaches agreed
that we would finish the game when Plano traveled to Indian Creek on June, 22.
As far as Indian creeks field, the diamond was dragged and chalked the night
before our game. There was a puddle at home plate so we put diamond dry down
thus covering the chalk. I find it very ironic that Leland would complain
about field conditions, you have played both places where would you rather
play? - From Indian Creek

Highlights
Plano started the game off with a strong deep left field homer hit by Alex. Consequently Alex amazingly hit a bird in flight with this hit and it wasn't such a good ending for the bird. However after 4 consecutive innings with no score by Leland and only one hit, Leland came back to win it by scoring 6 runs in the 5th and 2 in the bottom of the sixth ending the game 8-4 in the top of the 7th holding Plano to no score in the last 4 innings due to Lelands strong defense. Cory Buhler hit a deep center field homer bringing the crowd to its feet. Truman pitched a great game with 8 strikeouts and only one walk.

Highlights:
The game was suspended in the 5th inning on 5/4 because of rain and 
darkness tied at 5 runs apiece and Hinckley had runners on 1st and 
3rd with none out. We resumed the game on 5/19 at the same point. 
Colin stole second base to put runners on 2nd and 3rd. Kyle came 
through with a 1 out fielders choice to score one run, and Bernie 
came through with a clutch 2 out hit to drive in the 7th run. 
Sandwich #2 scored one run in the top of the 7th on Sam Hill's base 
hit and had the tying run on second, but Ruh pitched out of the jam 
to allow Hinckley to hold on for the win. We played a "B" game 
afterwards allowing a lot of players to get a chance to pitch and 
have some fun.

Highlights:
The weather held out long enough for both pitchers to throw 
outstanding games and the two rivals to play one heck of a exciting 
game. Big Rock jumped out to a 3-0 lead after 3.5 innings with the 
big hit on Mitch McNanna's homerun, but Hinckley battled back and 
scored 1 run in the bottom of the 4th on an RBI hit by Justin 
Salazar, added two more in the bottom of the sixth on a triple by 
Hans Johnson followed by Andy Verwey's 2-run homerun (2-3, 2 runs, 2 
RBI), and then scored the winning run in the bottom of the 7th on a 
double by Mitch Ruh followed by an RBI single by Colin Goodson. It 
was a great game played by both teams and next week's rematch should 
be a dandy.

Highlights
Paw Paw lead the game in the first inning 2-1 but Leland came back strong in the 3rd inning scoring 3 runs, credited to Garrett Theurer with the only 2 hits in the game and the teams keen base running with 7 stolen bases to Paw Paw's one. The game was tied up in the 7th inning and Cory Buhler was walked putting him in a position to score. With the teams low hitting percentage it was questionable how this game would end, but with the coaches strong direction, Cory was able to steal 2nd and 3rd base and made it home on an over throw to 3rd ending the game with a score of 5-4. Andrew Abens pitched 5 innings striking out 8 batters, Truman Lindhout finished the last 2 innings in a perfect pitching game with 6 of 6 in strikeouts. Highlights-
Earlville started out the bats with 2 runs in the 1st inning beginning with a deep left field triple by Earlvilles Carpenter. Lelands first time at bat brought in 4 runs with a crowd raising grand slam by Leland's Miguel Ocon to start off their season with a bang. Leland followed with one run in the second inning, 7 in the 3rd and ended the game in the top of the 5th with a ten run rule final score of 12-2. Truman Lindhout pitched an outstanding game with 8 strikeouts and only 3 walks. Tyler Frieders turned a double play in the second inning airing Leland's on play defense. Great start of the season Leland! Good Luck with the rest of your season Earlville.
