There was a lot of hitting in this game from both teams. Jacob Alstadt hit a
bill that would have went out of any major league park. It was definitely the
best hit ball I have ever seen by a pony leaguer.

Harding pitched Justin Long 7 innings he gave up 6 hits with 13 strikeouts and 0 walks. Austin Davis had a pair of
singles, Maverick Bickett had 2 hits with a double and a single, and we had hits from Justin Long, Warren Bailey,
Wyatt Seaborn, Andrew Davis, and Micah Coyle. The PawPaw players and coaches played a tough game from
start to finish as shown by the multiple lead changes. The PawPaw players were well coached and showed good
sportsmanship. All three pitchers from PawPaw did a great job and a special note to the PawPaw catcher who did
an outstanding job throughout the game throwing out six Harding base runners.

Well played game by both sides. Indian Creek has a nice group of young men. I always try to show
good sportsmanship, but tonight I was shown up by an Indian Creek young man, named Hank (#15).
He easily, and without effort, showed me how to be polite and respectful. In the future when I start to
have a crabby, adult moment, hopefully, I will think of his outstanding attitude and bite my tongue.
Thanks for being a good role model, Hank. I hope you continue to do great on and off the field.

Well folks, if you weren’t there you missed a good one. This was a classic youth baseball playoff game. Both sides had great fan and family turn out to support these young athletes. They were cheering loud for their young men, but being respectful of the other team. Both teams had big game gitters and big game heroics. Both teams made a couple mistakes which the other team capitalize on and both teams made comebacks from those mistakes. Both teams had close calls go against them and for them. If you see Keith (HBR coach) at the diamond be sure to shake his hand and say hi. He carries himself with a lot of class and has great mindset about youth baseball. He’s a good role model for these young men and his team follows his example to a tee out on the field. It was a pleasure to compete against these ball players.
