Sandwich 6, Paw Paw 4 — Katie Hay and Jami Swenson had three hits each as the Indians banged out 10 hits as a team. Ashley Anderson struck out seven to pick up her first win of the season.

Indian Creek 3, Montini 3 — Kimber Knudsen had two hits — including a home run — while Mel Sebastiano added two hits and struck out six in a game called after seven innings due to darkness.

SANDWICH 6, PAW PAW 4

At Paw Paw, the Lady Indians won their first game in three decisions behind the three-hit pitching of Ashley Anderson, who struck out seven and walked five. Katie Hay went 3-for-4 with a stolen base and Jami Swenson 3-for-5 with a double to pace her support.

"Ashley pitched a good game," said Sandwich coach Beth Behringer. "It was good to get a win we needed. We started to hit the ball and used our small ball to move the girls around."

For Paw Paw, Brooke Iversen struck out six, walked three and surrendered those six hits in taking the loss. Kaylee Abbott tagged a double at the plate.

"Brooke did a nice job pitching," said Paw Paw coach Corey Iversen. "Our defense kind of let us down."

At Aurora, the game was called after seven innings due to darkness, leaving the Lady Reapers at 1-1-1. Lauren Konop slammed two hits and scored two runs, while Courtney Weeks added two RBIs.
