Plano finished 2-3 in the tournament to earn its first wins of the season and finish in fourth place. The Reapers (2-10) beat Genoa-Kingston and South Beloit in two games apiece, but they lost to Indian Creek, IMSA and Mendota.
"I'm glad we got that one out of the way," said Plano coach Lisa Esmond about the first win. "Now they know what it feels like."
The Reapers played well in spurts during the tournament, Esmond said.
"We played really well in some games, but we couldn't get our offense going," the coach said.
