Somonauk 12 newark 2 somonauk pitchers  zaleski 3 innings rader 1 inning jump 1 inning Saltzman 1 inning Newark pitchers  pagel 4 innings ward 1 inning. This was a very close game thru 3 innings ( som. 1 newark 0) then Somonauk got their bats going. Somonauk players had some defensive gems that kept Newark from getting things going . Newark never quit and have a great bunch of kids. They should be tough next year. Newark’s coach janssen is as good as they get so newark should feel very fortunate that troy is with their boys and teaching them. Thanks for a fun season Newark!

Plano #2 - 12

Plano pitchers
Andrew Strohl - 2

Waterman played a great game and only played with 8 players. Plano defense and pitching was the key to our win. Waterman had a tough year but they are a great group of kids who never gave up.

Hbr 7 somoanuk 6 hbr pitching - morsch 3 innings, Phillips 3 innings, emanuel1 inning Somonauk Saltzman 5 innings, jump 3 innings. This was a very tense game as Somonauk took a 5-0 lead into the bottom of 5 when hbr scored 3 and then tied the game in the 6 th with 2 more. Somonauk scored 1 in the top of the 7 th and hbr came back with 2 in the bottom. There was no quit in either team. I applaud hbr’s effort and wish them the best for the rest of the tournament. I sincerely mean what I just wrote about hbr and their coaches but I must go down a road I haven’t before. I BELIEVE IT SHOULD BE MANDATORY THAT PLAYOFF GAMES HAVE TWO UMPS. The difference in this game was the umping and I really, really hate to write this but last night was pretty frick’in ugly in regards to 3 or 4 calls. I wish hbr the best but the best team last night did not move on in the tournament. I can’t stress it enough that I hate to complain but I had the parents call a little meeting and try to get me to protest the game. Alright, I’m done but please look into the “mandatory 2 ump thing for playoff games” thank you for all your time and efforts this year, mike jump
