Abe Carreon had 2 hits, Evan Volintine had 3 hits including a double and 2 RBI’s, Arian Herrara (1-0) pitched a complete game giving up only 3 hits, including a Home Run to Trisitan Withrow for Aurora Christian’s only run

Reed-Custer 0, Wilmington 10 (6 innings)
Nick Anderson scattered 4 hits in the win. Wilmington banged out 14 hits.

Lisle 9, Sandwich 5
Lisle Lions Varsity take out Sandwich with help from Van Volkenburg , 9-5

Coal City 2, Manteno 0
In a well played game defeated Manteno in Manteno 2-0. Lefty Nate Chapman pitched the shutout gem by scattering 4 hits to go with 4 walks and 4 strikeouts. The key play play of the game came off the bat of Dylan Hakey who slammed a 2 run homer in the 5th after Nate Natyshok singled. This accounted for all the runs in the games as neither team committed an error in the game. Other hitters included Joey Quinn and Brad Littleton. The Coaler defense came up big by turnng 2 double plays late in the game. “ Nice win today for the Coalers” said Jerry McDowell. ‘’’Nate Chapman was phenominal and the defense came up big after Hakey’s homer” . Coal City is now 4-6.

Dwight 3, Seneca 7

Dwight varsity baseball lost to the Irish from Seneca 7-3. Ryan Gaston took the loss and pitched 5 innings giving up 5 runs on 5 hits. He struck out 8 and walked 1. Karsen Kopmann led the offensive attack for the Trojans with 3 hits and an RBI. Carson Banks was 2 for 3 on the night. The Trojans and 4-10-1 overall and 0-7 in the I-8 conference. The Trojans will play Reed-Custer on the road on Thursday
