Herscher 11, Reed-Custer 2
Jimmy Brandt gave up 2 earned runs, struck out 6 and walked 2 to improve to 4-0 for Herscher (16-2-2).

Braden Muhlstadt (Herscher) and Emmitt Planeta (RC) homered. Herscher scored 8 runs in the final 2 innings.

Lisle 4, Seneca 0
Alex Ventrella tossed a no-hitter with 12 strikeouts, and Ryan Van Volkenburg had 2 hits and 2 RBIs for Lisle (11-6-1).

Manteno 5, Peotone 1
Jack Liss had 7 strikeouts in the complete-game win.

Wilmington 9, Dwight 7

The Dwight Trojans lost a tough I-8 conference baseball game against the Wildcats from Wilmington 9-7. Ryan Gaston took the loss for the Trojans who are 4-13-1 overall and 0-9 in the I-8. Austin Gantzert led the Trojans offensive attack with a grand slam in the 5th inning. Kiefer Kious, Karsen Kopmann, and Ryan Kodat each had 2 hits for Dwight.


Plano 2, Sandwich 5

Sandwich pitcher Jake Roehn fires of a pitch during the Indians 5- 2 victory over Interstate Eight rival Plano Monday in Sandwich. Roehn surrendered just two unearned runs and three hits and struck out 14 Reapers for his first victory of the season. Nate Lee had 2 of Plano's Hits, and Brett Johnson had the other.
