Mixed “D” Division – Any male player who competed during the season on Class “D” teams
or lower ( Elite "D" Players are allowed) and any female player who competed during the season
on Class “C” teams or lower.
No male and female homeruns allowed.
In National or World tournaments – Any player who hits a homerun over a 300' fence will be
ejected from the game.
The Re-entry rule and the Additional Hitter rules may be used. If a male AH is used a
female AH must be used. Male and female must alternate in the batting order.
Defensive positions do not have to alternate.
When a male batter receives a base on balls or intentional walk, he will be awarded first
and second base with the next female batter having the option to walk or bat.
Teams or individual players that did not compete during the season shall be registered and
classified for the Mixed Program by their Area or State Director.
All teams that wish to compete in the World Series or World Tournament must qualify
through State or National Invitational Tournaments.
The winner of the Mixed D Division in all Mixed National Tournaments with 17 or more
teams must compete the following year in a higher mixed classification.
Teams advancing to the Mixed World Tournament, including the World Series, or a Mixed
State Tournament held after Labor Day shall be allowed to ADD four (4) players to their
roster and shall be allowed to release up to four (4) players from the team's qualified frozen
roster. One of the four (4) added players may be added as late as 72 hours prior to the
Championship Tournament. All other roster additions and releases must be made two weeks
prior to the Championship event. A team can not replace a released player with an add-on.
New – A team can start with 9 players however, an out shall be declared when the 10 th position
in the lineup is scheduled to bat. A 10 th player may be added to the 10 th position any time
before the end of the game, etc. Refer to the USSSA Rulebook for more information.

Tournaments and playing rules.

State Tournament Rules
Sec.1. Five male and five female players must be in the lineup
at all times (six and six if A.H. is used)
Any five male and any five female players must play defense. Exception: A minimum of 9 players can
start a game. However, there must always be 5 females players in the lineup. An out shall be declaring
the tenth position in the lineup when that position is scheduled to bat. A tenth player may be added
in the tenth position of the lineup at any time before the end of the game. That players must be male
Sec. 2. The 11 inch softball will be used when a female is batting and a 12 inch softball will be used
when a male is batting.
Sec. 3. Males and female players must alternate in the batting order. Note: If a team starts the game
with 9 players, a female player must occupy the first position in the batting order.
Sec. 4. When a male batter receives a base on balls or intentional walk, he will be awarded first
and second base with the next female batter having the option to walk or bat.
Sec. 5. The Run Rule in the Mixed "D" State Tournament will be 20 runs after 3 innings, 15 runs after
4 innings, and 10 runs after 5 innings.
Sec. 6. Any Player male or female hitting a homerun over a 300' fence or more, shall be ruled out.

The player shall remain in the game for defensive purposes only. This applies to any substitute in
that batting position.
Sec. 7. Teams that start with 12 players may now drop down to 11 or 10 players, but cannot have
more males than females in their lineup. (if a female player is removed, following male player must be
removed; an out is declared each time vacant position is due to bat: a sub must be available for an
ejected player; a team starting with 9 or 10 cannot add an 11th or 12th.
Sec. 8. All players must be able to provide a photo I.D. upon request.
Failure to do so will
result in your team being removed from the tournament.
Sec. 9. Be at your scheduled diamond 45 minutes prior to your
scheduled game time. You may start
your game prior to game if ahead of schedule. Your cooperation is much appreciated in this manner.
Game time is forfeit time, after 1st round. You must check large bracket boards at each diamond
location for updates. The USSSA will not be responsible for game times written incorrectly on the
Large Brackets. Check and double check your game time. Diamond locations may change if running
behind of schedule.
Sec. 10.. UNIFORMS - Each team will be required to wear matching
shirts.(Same Body Color)
Only Softball attire, NO Funny Hats. Each shirt or Jersey must have a different Numeral of at least
5" in Height easily readable on the front or back. No Metal Spikes. Failure to comply to the above
will not allow your player
to participate.
Sec. 11. RAIN - If there is a rain delay at the start of the
tournament, Managers only, May Call

each manager must report in person to the complex where his team was scheduled to play.
The Tournament Officials will not be responsible for game times given over the phone.
Each manager is responsible for knowing the time of his next game.
This includes location of the diamond.
Sec. 12. 3 Balls - 2 Strike count. 2nd Strike - Ball is dead and runners cannot advance.
20 run rule after 3 innings, 15 run rule after 4 innings, 10 run rule after 5 innings.
Flip-Flop Rule is in
effect.
Sec. 13.. RE-Entry Rule - Any starting players may withdraw
and re-enter once. Provided
such player occupies the same batting position whenever he is in the line-up. A substitute who
is withdrawn may not re-enter. All re-entry by any starter must be reported to the umpire
and scorekeeper at the
time of re-entry.
Sec. 14.. Thrown bats and foul language are IMMEDIATE Ejection
from the game!
No Warnings will be given. Players ejected from the game for any reason will be required
to the leave the Complex. Profanity will not be tolerated. If it can be heard in the stands,
the player will be ejected.
Sec. 15. Anyone bringing an altered bat into either park will
have an immediate 2 year suspension.
Sec. 16. All Protest must be accompanied with a $50 cash fee.
If the protest is upheld,
the fee is refunded. If the protest is disallowed, the fee will be forfeited.
There is no fee for roster protest.
Sec. 17. The pitched ball must arc at least 5 feet from the ground (but not higher than 10ft from
the ground) after leaving the pitchers hand and before it passes any part of home plate.
